Why Cocoon

As a caterpillar begins it’s transition to a butterfly it spins silk forming a protective cocoon. That cocoon allows the caterpillar to prepare to move from one phase of life to the next. With this in mind all the ceremonies and rituals that are designed by Cheri begin with the idea of surrounding, protecting and nurturing the people that are going through their own transition be those beginnings or endings.

Our Ethos

As an Independent Celebrant we are here to support your beliefs and values however we can within the ceremonies that we create.  Cocoon’s dedication to inclusivity means that we embrace people of all genders, orientation, ability, ethnicity, beliefs, physical and mental abilities.

At Cocoon we believe that  spirituality is never a  binary choice between fully Religious or completely Atheist, the reality is that many people occupy the space between and hold a  belief in “something more.” We aim to support and reflect those beliefs by creating a ceremony with you to ensure that you are fully heard and respected.

If you wish to have some religious aspects incorporated into your ceremony then we can work together to do that.

Discover a world of possibilities

Cocoon is deeply committed to diversity, embracing and celebrating the unique identities of all individuals, no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, or any other characteristic. We believe in equality and respect for everyone, ensuring that no one is left out or overlooked. This means that we are able to be open to new ideas and to create ceremonies and rituals for whatever you consider to be a transition in your life.
