Trying to organise a funeral or celebration of life is one of the most difficult things you will ever have to do, amid all of the life admin and managing your own grief it is important that you find the right person to work with you, to take on some of the burden in ensuring that you can create the right ceremony. My approach to Celebrancy is rooted in empathy, creativity and a deep respect for different cultures, beliefs and traditions. I understand that each person and family is wonderfully unique, with their own stories and visions. By taking the time to listen to your desires and needs I will tailor every aspect of your ceremony to ensure that it authentically reflects your values and the journey of your or your loved one’s life
What to Expect from me
I will arrange to meet you at home, at the funeral directors, or at a place of your choosing
I will talk to you about your loved one.
I will ask you some questions about their life and how they lived it.
I will ask you if you have any memorable stories about them or special moments that you shared.
I will ask you if there’s anything you want to say to them personally.
I will ask if any family or friends have stories that they wish to share.
I will ask if anybody wants to speak at the funeral or memorial.
With this information, I will design and write a ceremony that feels like it was written by someone who knew your loved one, including any poems and stories that loved ones wish to read. It will be personal, respectful, and, if it is important to you, bring smiles of remembrance.
I will liaise and work closely with your chosen funeral director to ensure that you are given the right amount of time to say goodbye based on what you tell me that you want.
I will send you a draft copy of the ceremony for your approval and make any changes as needed
On the day I will meet you before the funeral, I will start the ceremony by welcoming everybody. I will either read the eulogy and any poems or stories or I will support anybody who wishes to speak.
After the funeral I will provide a copy of the ceremony (if you wish).

Prices start from £227 in line with Church of England charges.
